Raising the roof

MC2 is thrilled that the inaugural Raise The Roof concert, organised in conjunction with the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity and SJM Concerts, has raised more than £100,000 to help tackle rough sleeping in the city-region. To everyone who supported this incredible event: thank you.

The text-to-enter prize draw asked music fans to donate £10 to raise money for the A Bed Every Night campaign, with 1,600 lucky winners receiving a pair of tickets for the concert.

Greater Manchester is facing a homelessness crisis. The money raised through Raise The Roof will support the city-region in tackling rough sleeping, and it was incredible to see so many people, whether attendees or performers, unite to uplift a truly worthy cause.

The concert brought together some of Greater Manchester’s most loved artists for one night only at the O2 Victoria Warehouse. Gig-goers were dazzled by Courteeners, Blossoms, Bugzy Malone, Lisa Stansfield, Dr John Cooper Clarke, Valve and DJ Sunta Templeton.

MC2 exists to make a positive difference to our region, people and businesses. It was an honour to play a role in making this first concert such a special night. Bring on Raise The Roof 2020!
