High-growth door hardware specialist UAP has appointed MC2 as its strategic marketing partner.
The Bury-headquartered business is backed by Maven following a £20 million management buy-out in 2018. MC2’s programme of work will reposition the brand to better reflect its leading capabilities in fire, security and hardware innovation – followed by impactful corporate and customer communications.
UAP was founded in 1996 and has grown to become one of the largest door hardware specialists in the UK, through both organic growth and acquisition. It has continually strived to drive the industry forward – with its most recent innovation Armasmart involving a patented, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial plating that stops the spread of 99.9% of viruses.
MC2 specialises in supporting high-growth businesses and is often retained by companies building towards a transaction to build and maximise value through strategic marketing.
David Jennings, founder and CEO at UAP said: “We were looking for a partner that had experience working with high-growth businesses on a similar journey to us, and that could match both our pace and ambition. MC2 delivered on both counts, and impressed us with their understanding of our market and their ability to distil the complexities of our business into something both simple and inspiring.”
Jonathan Saatchi, managing director at MC2 said: “UAP is a major northern success story, with game-changing innovation and R&D happening in Bury. David and the team have created the conditions to drive significant growth, and we feel privileged to be supporting them on the journey.”
