About the role…

As an account executive at MC2, you will be part of an integral team from the very beginning. We will give you challenges that you can really get your teeth into and provide you with ongoing support to ensure you develop within the agency.

With the guidance of your account manager and account director you will be responsible for writing and issuing editorial copy, coming up with innovative ideas for your clients, organising and attending events and press trips, as well as offering vital administrative support to the team.

What Happens Next?

If your initial application is successful we will invite you into the MC2 office for our Graduate Assessment Day, which will take place on Wednesday 29th March 2017 from 10am – 4pm. Here you will pull apart real life briefs with our clients and work in teams to present your own creative ideas to the agency.

Following the Assessment Day potential recruits will be invited back to MC2 to work with one or more of our specialist sector teams for a trial day, and you will have an informal chat with one of our directors.

PR Account Executive: Corporate Advisory

MC2 is looking for an ambitious account executive with 12-18 months PR and marketing experience to be a part of its corporate advisory team. The team is growing rapidly and currently works with high profile financial and professional services clients including Deloitte, NorthEdge Capital, Equistone Partners Europe, Palatine Private Equity, Secure Trust Bank and Business Growth Hub.

 We are looking for a candidate that can demonstrate the following:

  • A natural ability to pick up the phone and speak to clients and journalists alike in a confident and professional manner. 
  • Someone with an eye for a great news story that comes up with other ideas that would work well for our clients.
  • An excellent timekeeper with an ability to juggle multiple tasks but still meet strict deadlines.
  • A self-starter that is driven to meet with national journalists and develop excellent relationships for clients. Must be confident to travel to London to meet with The Times, The Telegraph or Sky News, for example.
  • Displays a hands-on approach to work, co-operating with peers and senior members of the team to get the best results for clients.
  • Someone who can identify excellent opportunities that will add value to clients and is not afraid to pitch ideas to others.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills is a must.
  • Somebody who has a keen interest in financial and professional services with a passion to learn more. 
  • Somebody who understands various media platforms and how to get the most out of each channel (e.g. social media, broadcast, print).
  • Uses initiative to get tasks done and works independently, but also knows when to ask for help. 
  • Efficient timekeeper, managing upwards to keep the whole team on course.
  • Must have a proactive attitude rather than being purely reactive with good attention to detail.
  • Somebody who is willing to get out into the marketplace, network and develop valuable contacts.
